My father is Frank Bertholet he was Cheif engineer of the firecoach division for many years. Up thru it being sold to GE.. and beyond. I remember many saturday visits with Dad while he worked and even helping copy blue prints. My sister worked for Crown for a summer or two also.

I certainly can visualize my Papa riding this around the plant. He as famous for having stuff painted in the shop to match whatever its intended use was for. Originally Papa was an art teacher. No Joke!
Sandi – I hope someone out there can verify that Brock used the Autoette. It would be such a cool connection!
It is interesting to know about his art background and the progressive nature of the styling on the buses and firecoaches.
